As we hurriedly attend to the immediate needs in our busy lives,

or get stuck in daily routines of disconnect, it often feels impossible,

irrelevant or even decadent to give time to care for ourselves.

ShareVOICES circles give you that time to reflect on your life

in a soulful and productive way.  We use writing as a means

to tap the poignancy of life, remember our own vitality and importance,

better understand and express ourselves, and connect deeply with others.

ShareVOICES facilitates small-group writing workshops both in its meeting room in Coolidge Corner, in Brookline, and throughout the community when hosted by other organizations. When hosted by community organizations, shareVOICES tailors its reflective writing circles to respond to the needs, priorities and interests of the hosting participants. Schools, Houses of Worship and Meditation, Gyms and Youth Groups, as well as private circles of family members, peers and co-workers are invited to reach out to us and inquire about

programs that can support you.

ShareVOICES workshops:

Give participants new ways to explore their feelings and vulnerabilities, and discuss social-emotional themes relevant to them;

Provide a gentle and supportive context for participants to strengthen their writing skills, and self-efficacy in writing;

Build participants’ confidence in sharing their emotions, life stories, and written work with each other;

Create nurturing peer circles within which participants honor each other with intrigue, kindness and empathy.

Through life-story discovery, writing, and exchange, within the context of a nurturing and supportive circle of peers, participants are guided towards exploring themes that are important to them, and connecting deeply with their peers around these themes.
